"Oz The Musical"

Featuring Kara McKinley - the Munchkin!

Kara auditioned for, and was selected to be a Munchkin in the Toddrick Hall production of "Oz" starring Diana DeGarmo. She got to perform opening night at the Dallas Majestic Theatre, Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth and the Irving Arts Center in Irving. What a great experience!

UNC TARHEELS v. Georgia Tech
2/28/2009
We were invited back to the Dean Dome in Chapel Hill, NC for another Tarheels home game. This time the seats were incredible, right behind the bench. With this shot below, Tyler Hansbrough broke the NCAA all-time free throw record, so not only fun but historic!

FOSSIL RIM ANIMAL PARK.. a family favorite!

We took all the kids back this summer and had a great time. Were pretty fortunate to have most every species come right up to the car this time!

Here is my beloved AOUDAD! If only he were stuffed and mounted in the study for me to stare at each day... sigh..

One of the girls' earliest, beloved childhood memories is of one of the "SLOBBER GIRAFFES" at Fossil Rim. When the girls were only about 3 yrs old, we took them to FR and opened the sunroof to see if we could coax a giraffe to come closer to us. If only I had a video camera, we woud've been $10,000 richer, there is no question we would have won America's Funniest Home Video. A giraffe lumbered over, stuck his head right through the sunroof and as it's long, pointy purple tongue came flying out to grab food from our hands, an enormous amount of slobber came pouring out all over Daddy Murphy's shirt. We'd never heard the girls squeal and laugh so much for so long! It is still funny to this day to remember!
