We took all the kids back this summer and had a great time. Were pretty fortunate to have most every species come right up to the car this time!

One of the girls' earliest, beloved childhood memories is of one of the "SLOBBER GIRAFFES" at Fossil Rim. When the girls were only about 3 yrs old, we took them to FR and opened the sunroof to see if we could coax a giraffe to come closer to us. If only I had a video camera, we woud've been $10,000 richer, there is no question we would have won America's Funniest Home Video. A giraffe lumbered over, stuck his head right through the sunroof and as it's long, pointy purple tongue came flying out to grab food from our hands, an enormous amount of slobber came pouring out all over Daddy Murphy's shirt. We'd never heard the girls squeal and laugh so much for so long! It is still funny to this day to remember!
